*2 THE TWELFTH NIGHT OF A LIFETIME

"Be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them"

William Shakespeare is an author who loves to create plays which evolves around mistaken identity. Twelfth Night is a play of a very complicated affair. An aristocratic lady named Viola survived a shipwreck incident. Thinking that her brother is already dead, she decided to look for a job with the help of a good captain.Dressed as a man, Viola, used the name Cesario, and offered herself in the service of the Duke of Illyria, Orsino. Orsino longs for the love of a neighboring countess, Olivia , who as she is in mourning for the death of her brother, repels his courtship. In a wild play of fate, Olivia fell in love with Cesario who is actually Viola. And Viola is in love with Orsino who is really in love with Olivia. Very very complicated indeed.

Too see such a wonderful play come to life is a one of a kind experience. No matter how complicated the story is, still it managed to push through our hearts. With the effective acting of all the actors, and the hardworking efforts of the staffs, the play made us very proud of being an AB ENGLISH student. I salute them all for making us laugh and be inlove while watching the play. My words are not enough to describe that marvelous moment, but i tell you, if you have watched it you,d leave the venue wanting more.

DIGGING MY SOUL: GRAVEDIGGERS

*3

"Another play again?" that's the first three words which came in to my mind upon seeing the posters posted in the walls. I mean, I still have not recovered from the play entitled "TWELFTH NIGHT". Upon recognizing the title and observing the poster, i felt something creepy. I said to myself "Oh my, i think we have something scary in here."

I am really a scared y cat. I do shout out of something which is not really horrifying, that's why i need second thoughts for me to decide if I should watch it. I decided to do so . Even if I have to watch it with closed eyes. The play started with me , not even recognizing who my seatmate is. My mind is full of things that I imagine to happen in the play. I was busy guessing the story plot I guess. The venue was quiet and I am in a paranoid moment. I'm in a paranoia that maybe something will surprise us out of the quietness.
Throughout the play, most of the conversations were not so clear. Maybe it's because of their pronuciation. That distracted me. It gives me the urge to say "what did they say?" to my stranger seatmate.

Somehow, I did enjoy it . It made me look forward for another play (maybe another free one) inside the school. They all did a magnificent job

One Harmonious Night

On the night of November 30, 2012 , people gathered at the MSU-IIT gymnasium to witness the magnificent performance of IPAG (Integrated Performing Arts Guild,) with the show entitled , "Tatlo sa Isa". The guild surprised the audience with their colorful props and beautiful dance routines. It portrayed the glorious tales from Mindanao with it's diverse cultures and traditions. It showed how splendid the Mindanao is despite the different types of people living in it.

The presentors used colorful props to show how rich Mindanao in terms of natural resources. The music was collaborated melodiously to give effect to each scene. The medium used worked effectively in relaying the message to the audience. There was no conversation, no words released yet there was three beautiful stories created. Beacause of the talented performers , the awed expectators can't take their eyes off the limelight while holding their breaths.

As an overall opinion to the show , I salute the people behind it. It was indeed one of the proofs why IPAG is known internationally.

The Art Of Setting Free...

Some people would knock on the door of your life unexpectedly. If you let them in, they’ll teach you something that you have never known before. They will make you do things you thought you could never do.They will show you how to appreciate, love and value yourself much more than what you did before. They are those unique persons who can paint an undeniable smile in your face. However, no matter how much you want to hold unto them, there would come a point wherein you have to set them free. Because in this world of moving time, nothing could be permanent.YOu have to let them go..even if you have a thousand reasons to make them stay. You need not to be sad if you see them walk away. Just like what somebody said.. “Don’t cry because it ended, SMILE because it happened.” Thank God that even in a short period of time, He sent someone to prove to you that YOU ARE SPECIAL. SMILE. :) BE STRONG . MOVE ON.
